Introduction

Woz uses RevenueCat to manage in-app payments. RevenueCat handles subscriptions, one-time purchases, paywalls, and entitlement checking—all connected directly through your Woz dashboard. You do not need to write any payment code yourself. If you are new to subscription payments, RevenueCat has an excellent resource called the Paywalls Study Guide, which covers paywall design, pricing strategies, and optimization techniques.

1. Open the Payments Tab

In your Woz builder, click Payments in the left sidebar. You can find the Payments option near the bottom of the left navigation panel.

2. Connect RevenueCat

Clicking Payments opens the payments setup screen. If you do not already have a RevenueCat account, visit revenuecat.com and create an account before proceeding. Getting started with RevenueCat is free. Once your account is ready, click Connect with RevenueCat inside the Woz builder.

3. Authorize Woz to Access Your RevenueCat Account

After clicking Connect with RevenueCat, a RevenueCat authorization page will open. This page shows the permissions Woz needs to manage payments within your app. These permissions include access to:
  • Projects
  • Apps
  • Entitlements
  • Offerings
  • Packages
  • Products
  • Customers
  • Subscriptions
  • Purchases
Click Authorize to complete the connection. The authorization process usually takes one to two minutes.

4. Configure How Payments Work in Your App

Once RevenueCat is connected, you will see the Add Payments screen. This is where you describe how payments should work inside your app. Woz will use your instructions to configure the subscription structure and paywall placement. Be as specific as possible when describing your pricing model and where the paywall should appear in the user experience.

Example prompt

Add subscription options of $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year. Show a paywall at the end of onboarding.
The more specific your prompt is, the better Woz can implement your paywall.Include:
  • Exact pricing
  • Billing frequency
  • Which features are premium
  • Where the paywall should appear in the user journey
If you want to learn more about effective paywall design and monetization strategies, we recommend reviewing RevenueCat’s Paywalls Study Guide, which includes best practices and real-world examples.

5. Use Ready-Made Prompts from Integrations

After connecting RevenueCat, open the Integrations tab in the left sidebar. Find RevenueCat under the Monetization category. You will see two ready-made prompts that can be copied directly into the Woz chat to quickly configure subscription payments. You can either use the prompts as they are or modify them by adding your own pricing and feature restrictions.

Ready-made prompt 1

Add a subscription paywall to my app with monthly and annual plan options using RevenueCat.

Ready-made prompt 2

Add a check to my app that gates premium features based on the user's active RevenueCat subscription.
